Microsoft DigiGirlz Computer Science & Innovation at the 2016 Women2Women Conference
Microsoft will partner with the YEG & the 2016 Women2Women Conference to bring together 100 young girls and boys (13 -20 years of age) to participate in a Microsoft DigiGirlz Computer Science & Innovation workshop to include game design & coding, community problem solving, and an interactive panel discussion focused on Intergenerational Mentoring. Students will participate in a 3-hour “Community + Innovation + STEM” workshop where they will build their own game, participate in an “innovationhacking” storyboard session, and at the end present their innovation ideas that will help solve community problems and get feedback from a panel of corporate, business, and entrepreneur mentors. Microsoft’s goal at this event is to help inspire our next generation of Computer Science Innovators, while building a future pipeline of students for the Microsoft Academy College Hire (MACH) program.
