Making Our Case: Women Building Stronger Communities through Advocacy in Health, Politics, Inequality of Pay, and Protection of Women and Children

Moderator: Jocelyn Dorsey, Director of Editorials & Public Affairs, WSB TV- Channel 2

Having an advocate means that you have someone in your corner, who will speak up for you when you don’t think your voice is being heard. As women, we have been given the power and ability to develop and nurture human life, which includes serving as advocates for equal pay and opportunities, better healthcare, an equal voice in political processes, protection against the rising epidemic of abuse against women, and sexual trafficking of our children. This session will raise awareness and provide women insight into the stories and opportunities in today’s political and socio-economic climate that require us to lend our voices and efforts as advocates for the building of stronger communities and families.
